Paws & Claws a Natural Pet Food Store and Grooming Spa opened in 2004 by Dimond residents Diane Pfile and Ruth Villasenor.  Envisioning the Dimond as a thriving business district before the opening of Farmer Joe’s, Peet’s and La Farine Bakery, Diane & Ruth felt they could combine their passion for animals and social activism and help revitalize the community.  Immediately after opening the doors to Paws & Claws they begin offering pet wellness classes that drew people from various districts to the community.  Paws & Claws offers products sometimes hard to find in other pet food stores, such as raw pet foods , environmentally friendly products and litters, and homeopathic and flower essences. The staff prides themselves on customer service, and we do all we can to help the consumer make conscious choices for their pet’s needs.  The grooming spa uses all natural products and is cage free.

Board Members of the Dimond Business & Professional Association since 2004, they have collaborated with various local groups to help organize community events, such as the Dimond Winterfestival, the Dimond Artwalk and the annual Howl-o-ween Pet Parade and fundraiser party.  Diane and Ruth’s love for animals and the community is evident by products they offer and enthusiasm they have for the Dimond district.

Fri & Sat 9-6p
Sun 12-5p.
