On Saturday, October 27th, Paws & Claws is gearing up for their 9th Annual “Howl-o-ween” Pet Parade & Costume Contest in the Dimond District. This year’s event is a collaboration with the Dimond Public Library.
Starting at 11am at the Dimond Branch Library – 3565 Fruitvale Ave. – Robin Goodfellow will be showing kids how to create Halloween themed paper cutouts. Librarian Sarah Hodgson will follow with some scary storytelling.
And then at 2pm, folks who want to parade thru the Dimond business district collecting treats will meet in front of Paws & Claws – 3436 Dimond Ave. (off MacArthur). Everyone is welcome to participant in the parade; of course, we’d love to see pets, kids, and adults with some fabulous costumes. After the parade we’ll return to Paws & Claws, for a chance to win some fun prizes as folks compete for the Best Human & Pet costume. This annual celebration includes some of the best dressed costumes you’ll ever see. Download the flyer here.
